Georgia Babici is the local economist for the International Monetary Fund office in Romania. Prior to joining the IMF, she worked for the Romanian Ministry of Public Finance and the Romanian Fiscal Council, where she was involved in a wide range of fiscal policy issues – coordination of fiscal forecasts, impact assessment of fiscal policy decisions, analysis of economic measures and structural reforms.
